I live in Arvin, California..A very small Town, Thousands of miles away from your hometown..I have never had the pleasure of meeting your family. One of sons decided to join the Marines. There he had the pleasure of meeting Phillip. Through my son I had the pleasure of meeting Phillip. My son is also on 3/5. As a mother, there are no words to express my sorrow for your loss. Those we lose and love are now a memory in your hearts forever. Thank you for you son's service. My heart aches as a Mother who has also lost her son to this war, PFC Michael R. Patton, KIA 06/14/2008. Know that he is now resing in God's loving arms. Peace be with you

Although I didn't have the opportunity to your son, I wanted to let you know how proud I am to know that there are those willing to lay down their life to protect me. Thank you for giving up your loving son for me. God bless you

I met Phillip when him and Shelby started to date. I just want to say it was an honor to have met him. He was such a nice polite young man. The way him and Shelby would look at each other and act together showed true love between them. And with Valerie he took her on like his own and she loved him more than anything in this world.
The Heavens have definately gained another Angel to look over us.

I share this with the family, friends, and the teachers....This is life changing, Never Forget Lance Cpl. Vinnege through sharing him with your students and the ultimate sacrifice that he gave so that you could stand up and teach.

It was a simple, short news report

One that is heard too often
